Mitt första konstglas för Orrefors som ingick i samlingsutställning “Minnenas plats” 1995. Vi formgivare fick i uppgift att välja ett objekt från Orrefors glasarkiv och sedan förhålla oss till det. Att jag jag valde Ingeborg Lundins fantastiska och ikoniska äpple var ingen slump. Som ny (och stursk) formgivare ville jag utmana Orreforshistorien och försöka ta mig vidare. Så jag käkade helt enkelt upp Ingeborgs äpple tillsammans med Orrefors skickliga slipare…

My first art glass for Orrefors, which was part of the exhibition “Memories Place” in 1995. Orrefor’s designers was assigned to choose an item from Orrefors glass archive and then relate to it. That I chose Ingeborg Lundin’s amazing and iconic Apple from 1955 was no coincidence. As a new (and sturdy) designer, I wanted to challenge Orrefor’s history and try to move on. So I simply took a bite in Ingeborg’s apple together with Orrefor’s skilful glass cutters…
